Wise Move

USC men's basketball head coach Kevin O'Neill announced the addition of another quality veteran in UC-Irvine transfer forward Eric Wise to the growing surplus of Trojan hoops talent.

Wise-UCI.jpgWise dominated the Big West as an Anteater averaging 16.3 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game as an All-Conference performer last season.  After sitting out next season, he will have one year of eligibility remaining in 2012-13.

"We are very excited to have a proven veteran player like Eric join our program," said O'Neill. "His sit-out year will give him an opportunity to acclimate to our system and prepare him to have a good senior season. He is a good student who did well at UC Irvine and will be in position to graduate from USC."

While the Trojans expect to have a quality team this upcoming season, the foundation is being built for what could be a special 2012-13 campaign with the additions of Wise and Wake Forest transfer Ari Stewart to a team that should only lose senior Jio Fontan from the 2011-12 team.
