Troy Named National POY

As the #1 men's volleyball team prepared for their Final Four battle with UCSB, they took time to collect some hardware from the AVCA last night.

Senior Murphy Troy was named national player of the year in addition to his first team All-American status.  He is the fifth Trojan to win the nation's top honor (Bryan Ivie won it twice in 1990 and 1991).

Joining Troy in accepting national honors, Riley McKibbin earned All-American first team and Tony Ciarelli was placed on the second team.

The star-studded Trojans are two wins away from a national championship as they take on UCSB tonight at 4 p.m. pacific time on ESPN2.
