Trojans Set NFL Draft Record

With nine players selected in the 2011 NFL Draft, USC surpassed Notre Dame as the school with the most all-time drafted players (472 and counting!).

Smith-Cowboys.jpgWhile OT Tyron Smith set the pace becoming the 75th first rounder in USC history (also an all-time collegiate mark), his teammates followed behind with DT Jurrell Casey (Titans) and CB Shareece Wright (Chargers) going in the third round.

"It was dream to play for San Diego," said a beaming Wright.  "I couldn't ask for a better place to start my NFL career."

The final day of the New York event heard six more Trojans called.  TE Jordan Cameron (Browns) went in the 4th round.  Ronald Johnson (49ers) and Allen Bradford (Bucs) were called in the 6th round.

Finally, Stanley Havili (Eagles), David Ausberry (Raiders) and Malcolm Smith (Seahawks) were selected in consecutive order in the 7th round.
