The USC track and field squads are off to Tuscon, AZ, this weekend for the Pac-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where they'll push themselves for personal best times and distances.
Joey Hughes leads the men's squad into competition as the returning conference champion in the 400 meters and 4x400 relay. The Trojan speedster finished second in the 200 meters and 4x100 at the 2010 Pac-10 meet.
Former USC football player Trey Henderson (photo) is the defending champ at hammer. The Vancouver native's defensive end career was derailed by a knee injury, but he has developed into an All-American thrower.
The Women of Troy's strength is in numbers as shown by their demolition of UCLA at the dual meet. They won the Pac-10 team title in 1996 and have not placed out of the top four since.
While the competition will take place this weekend, you can watch a tape-delayed broadcast on Fox Sports May 20-21.
