USC tennis stars Maria Sanchez and Steve Johnson swept the Pac-10 Player of the Year awards, while men's head coach Peter Smith took Coach of the Year honors.
Led by Smith and Johnson, the men's team is battling Georgia Tech today in the Sweet 16. The women's squad was knocked out of NCAA's by Cal, but Sanchez will still have a chance to compete for the individual title.
Johnson has been utterly dominant this season carrying a 26-match winning streak into Thursday's contest. He's grabbed the baton from Robert Farah who won the top award the last two years.
Smith has coached USC to back-to-back national championships with a shot at a three-peat this year. He grabbed his second straight conference Coach of the Year award and the fourth of his Trojan career.
