Season Enders

The good news is the Pac-10 conference continues to assert its dominance across the college sports landscape.  The bad news is that two USC teams went down to familiar foes this past weekend.

The women's water polo team's bid for a third straight national title ended in Ann Arbor, MI, with losses to #1 Stanford (8-4 in the national semifinals) and #3 UCLA (6-5 in the third place game).

The fourth place finish is still a tremendous accomplishment for a young squad with a bright future.

The #18 women's tennis team saw their 2011 campaign come to an end at #9 Cal in the second round of the NCAA tournament.  However, they still have five players who can earn individual titles led by #2 Maria Sanchez.
