Former USC batboy and major league Hall of Fame manager Sparky Anderson will be presented with the second annual Dedeaux Award at a May 15 banquet at the Jonathan Club in LA.

Ross Porter will emcee the event and Joe Morgan and George Foster will accept the award on behalf of their late skipper.
Anderson was the first manager ever to win the World Series in both leagues.
As a boy, he lived on the current USC campus and was offered to assist the team by head coach Rod Dedeaux when Anderson returned a foul ball to then Bovard Field.
