On a day like today, it's a good time to acknowledge how successful a 2010-11 USC athletics season it has been.  Of the 14 Trojan teams that have completed their seasons, eight have finished in the top seven in NCAAs.

Nguyen-Kiss2.jpgThe Pat Haden era has already boasted two national championships for men's water polo and men's tennis.

Women's volleyball, women's swimming and diving and men's volleyball finished third in the nation.  #4 women's water polo, #5 women's golf and #7 men's swimming and diving all had strong campaigns.

Plus, the women's basketball team finished as WNIT runners-up, while men's hoops closed strong to earn an NCAA bid.  Women's soccer and women's tennis reached the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Still to come, men's golf, women's rowing, men's and women's track and field are expecting big postseason performances.

And of course, USC dominated UCLA in record fashion to win the Gauntlet.  You already knew this, but it's still a great day to be a Trojan!
