USC men's basketball officially welcomed Wake Forest transfer Ari Stewart to the program today, but he will not be eligible until the 2012-13 season.
The former top 50 recruit will have two seasons remaining when he first dons the Trojan uniform after sitting out this year, while pushing the team in practice.
"We are really excited about Ari joining us," said head coach Kevin O'Neill. "He is going to have a great year of development during his redshirt year and is going to be a great contributor to our success once he becomes available. He has a tremendous upside as a player and I'm convinced he can raise us to another level."
The 6'7" forward averaged 8.5 ppg and 4.4 rpg last season for the Demon Deacons.
