USC baseball has battled back to .500 in conference after winning their last two series at home against Stanford and Oregon. While the Trojans are just 15-20 overall, they are now 6-6 in Pac-10 play, which puts them in fifth place in the league.
The recent resurgence has been keyed by an unlikely source, senior right-hander Logan Odom. The Sunday starter has pitched below the radar in the same rotation as highly-touted hurlers Andrew Triggs and Austin Wood.
With nine starts in the books, Odom sports a sterling 2.80 ERA overall and a 1.71 ERA in league games.
Odom has taken the mound in rubber matches the last two weeks and settled the series in the Trojans' favor by holding down the Cardinal and Ducks. He's also earned a reputation as a rivalry killer by giving up just one earned run in 14.1 innings of winning baseball against the Bruins this season.
Odom and the Trojans hit the road now for seven of their next eight including conference battles at Washington and Arizona.
