USC women's golf won the team and individual titles at the Pac-10 championships today and all but clinched the Gauntlet in the process.

The Women of Troy came into the day tied with Stanford, but buried the Cardinal under a wave of birdies en route to a five stroke victory. 

Meanwhile, the individual race came down to a playoff between USC's Sophia Popov and UCLA's Tiffany Lua.  The German freshman needed just one extra hole to finish off her Bruin counterpart and win the conference crown.

USC has not officially won the Gauntlet because they can give points back in future postseason match-ups like Saturday's men's volleyball game, but the Trojans have two hands wrapped around their fourth straight crosstown trophy.

How can USC lose Gauntlet points in volleyball? They have already won 4 matches against UCLA. Did you mean tennis?
