As the cliche goes, freshmen are sophomores this time of year.
USC freshman Cassie Harberts played more like a senior yesterday carrying the Women of Troy to an indispensable victory over Washington State in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament.
Harberts dropped a career-high 31 points (the most by a USC women's basketball player since 2006) and 14 rebounds on the Cougs.
Next up, the Trojans can likely seal a berth in the Big Dance by beating Arizona for the third time this season. The game tips off at 5:15 p.m. at Galen Center.
