Two men's basketball stories from opposite ends of the spectrum...

Finally, USC big man Nikola Vucevic was recognized for his outstanding play this season as the Pac-10 Player of the Week.

Vucevic-POW.jpgThe junior led the Trojans to a huge sweep of the Arizona schools with his 17th and 18th double-doubles of the season.

He dropped 25 points and 12 rebounds on then #10 Arizona and conference player of the year favorite Derrick Williams.  In what could be his last home game if the junior departs early for the NBA, Vucevic capped his 2010-11 Galen campaign with 20 points and 10 boards.

Vucevic leads the Pac-10 in rebounding, but this was the first time in his career that he's taken home player of the week honors.

Even more special, his father flew in from Europe this past week to see his son play basketball for the first time since he was 16.  He did not disappoint.

And in another world...

Former USC basketball player Percy "Romeo" Miller was named to the newest cast of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Miller played for the Trojans the previous two seasons.

He joins former USC WR Grant Mattos, who is on the latest cast of Survivor, as Trojan athletes hitting the reality TV scene.

Romeo played in the celebrity game at all-star weekend in Los Angeles.
