Early Risers

USC football may soon be known for their fast starts.

In a change from the recent schedule, the Trojans' spring weekday practices will get started at 7:25 a.m., while the weekend sessions will begin at 10:30 in the morning.

During the bye week last fall, head coach Lane Kiffin employed a similar strategy, which he now plans to implement temporarily for spring practice and permanently for the fall if he likes the results.

While we enter a new campaign, the practice attendance rules are the same.  Unfortunately because of the NCAA sanctions, fans cannot attend.  Only the players' families and those with a working purpose are admitted inside Howard Jones and Brian Kennedy Fields, per the NCAA penalty.

USC Pro Day is March 30 at Cromwell Field, but that must be closed to the public as well.  Media will need to be credentialed for the event.

However, we look forward to seeing all the fans at the annual spring game on April 23 at the Coliseum.

Also, stay locked into the blog and our Facebook page as we will launch an exciting contest with a huge grand prize on the first day of spring practice (March 22).

Spring football culminates in the big game at the Coli on April 23.
