DeRozan Dunk Contest

Toronto Raptors guard and USC alum DeMar DeRozan will take the injured Brandon Jennings place in this year's NBA slam dunk contest at STAPLES Center on All-Star Saturday night.

DeRozan has his work cut out for him battling the presumptive favorite Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers.

This will not be the first dunk exhibition DeRozan puts on at STAPLES though.

Back in 2009, he lit up the arena and the UCLA Bruins in the Pac-10 Tournament semifinals en route to being named tourney MVP.

We compiled his dunks from that night below.  I'd say there are a couple of 50s in there.

Will obviously play 2nd Fiddle to The Blake Show. No disrespect to DeRozen, but he had his chance last year. I was at this game and have seen him dunk many times at his high school and travel ball games. But Blake Griffin is the Beast of Revelation and will win this year's dunk contest hands down. "Cheat On!"

Obvious how? Because Blake is playing in his own team's state? Because a number 1 pick always has the most hype? Or because his dunk on Mozgov heard around the league?

You should keep in mind that the best in-game dunkers do not always win the dunk contest, it comes down to creativity, not necessarily how high you can jump. This is anything but a shoo-in for Griffin.
