Ed Flory's time at USC was interrupted.

He first attended the university in the early 40's, but after his first year, he was drafted into the military.

Flory fought with the 4th Armored Division and ultimately saw combat in the Battle of the Bulge, the bloodiest mission of World War II.

After being honorably discharged, Flory returned to Troy and earned his degree in International Relations in 1949.

Since then, he has been a USC season-ticket holder for over 50 years and annually chairs the Veterans Day parade in his rural town of Porterville, CA, which rests in the San Joaquin Valley.

Recently, Flory was honored by the Porterville High School Alumni Association as the 21st member of their Wall of Fame.
