USC finished a close second behind Stanford in the APR rankings, which measures the academic progress of all the student athletes.

Can you give us some insight into what is going on with the Dillon Baxter investigation?

Tennessee Football Inc., the company that owns the Titans, chose to file a lawsuit against both Kiffin and the university.
The lawsuit claims that Kiffin violated Pola’s contract, which requires that he have written permission to discuss a job with anyone other than the Titans. It also claims that USC was aware of the details within his contract but chose to avoid them anyways.
Kiffin, who already has had three minor recruiting infractions, has had a roller-coaster career as a head coach.

You can read the usit against Kiffin here:

So Dillon Baxter lost his phone huh? Thats OK, he will get a detailed bill with all phone calls in/out prominantly displayed.
He can show the press the phone bill when it arrives.

What becomes of Dillon Baxter? Clearly, there needs to be further investigation into his actions as well. Was he outright lying at the time of his statements or was there actually contact? At least one publication, GatorCountry.com, is stating that Baxter was the one who made contact with Florida—not the other way around. If that's true, doesn't that mean that Baxter is in for a little wrist-slapping from the NCAA as well?

It will be interesting to see how the Dillon Baxter investigation plays out. I suspect the coaching staff or Garrett put him up to the lies.

Lane Kiffin USC vs. Steve Sarkisian Washington.

Debate question: Which one of these former whiz-kid co-coordinators under Pete Carroll at USC is the real deal and which one is Lane Kiffin?

OK, it's too early to call. So far, Kiffin appears to be the petulant child who has been handed three plum head-coaching jobs — the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee, USC — for no compelling reasons.

Sarkisian, by contrast, took over two years ago at 0-12 Washington and led the Huskies to 5-7 in his first year, with a win over Carroll and USC.

The NCAA is expanding its investigation into football recruiting practices at the University of Tennessee during Lane Kiffin's tenure as head coach according to ESPN.
