Kudos again to one-time USC women's volleyball stars April Ross and Jennifer Kessy, who won their second consecutive AVP beach volleyball tourney this past weekend. And once again, they conquered the AVP's No. 1 ranked team, Misty May-Treanor and Nicole Branagh. This time, Ross-Kessy won, 21-15, 18-21, 15-12 in the final of the AVP Virginia Beach Open.
The Trojan pair are on quite a roll right now, as their two recent AVP wins came on the heels of FIVB wins in Shanghai and Rome to boost their world ranking to No. 1.
Ross and Kessy are off to New Jersey this weekend for the AVP Belmar Open, then return to Southern California for the AVP Hermosa Beach Open on July 16-18.
