Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Richard "Duke" Llewellyn, a 1940 USC graduate who worked at the Los Angeles Athletic Club since 1956.  He died today in Los Angeles at age 93.

Llewellyn, who founded college basketball's Wooden Award, participated in three sports (football, track and basketball) while a student at USC.

He was a well-loved institution at the LAAC, where he held positions from director of athletics to senior vice president.
