Here is a special alumni video tribute to retiring USC President Steven B. Sample and First Lady Kathryn Sample, commemorating their 19 years of remarkable service to the university. This four-minute tribute premiered at the 77th Annual USC Alumni Awards and was warmly received by more than 500 alumni and friends in attendance.
One of Dr. Sample's greatest passions was the USC Renaissance Scholars Program, which he launched in 2000. It encourages students to become "broad and versatile thinkers" by working "deeply and productively" in widely disparate disciplines.
