The Seattle Seahawks have become a landing spot for USC football players and staff.

There are 10 Trojans on the current Seahawks active roster:  Jeff Byers, Will Harris, Lawrence Jackson, Tom Malone, Anthony McCoy, Josh Pinkard, Ryan Powdrell, LofaTatupu, LenDale White and Mike Williams.  Kyle Williams is on the practice squad.

Plus, new head coach Pete Carroll and a number of his Seahawks' staffers have recent USC ties, including Jeremy Bates, Ken Norton, Kris Richard, Rocky Seto, Brian Schnieder, Chris Carlisle, Jamie Yanchar, Matt Capurro and Ben Malcolmson.  Long-time Seahawks director of community outreach Sandy Gregory worked in Heritage Hall in the 1970s.

I am not clear as to the underlying issue between Taylor Mays and Pete Carroll, but what was that about?

Mays for some reason thought because he and PC were tight, that he should have been picked by the Seahawks in the 1st round over Earl Thomas. I love Mays and I love SC, but I'm pretty sure that Thomas was the better choice for the Seahawks needs.

Coach Carroll should have taken Taylor..Earl Schmearl! Taylor stayed at SC his senior year to play for PC, and under PC's scheme, Taylor's draft status dropped - that is partly PC's fault. He and his defensive coaches told Taylor to play deep, which didnt show off his ablitlies at times, and I believed help cause the slip. Taylor will have a great upside in the NFL due to this size and speed, now he has the biggest chip on his shoulder ever.
