HBO loves its Trojan pros

HBO announced on March 25 that the New York Jets would be the star of its popular program, "Hard Knocks." For the second straight year, the show will chronicle the training camp of a team led by a USC quarterback.

Mark Sanchez enters his second campaign as the Jets' playcaller after leading the team to the AFC Championship game last year. Sanchez follows in the footsteps of quarterback Carson Palmer, who was featured in the HBO spotlight last year when the Cincinnati Bengals were the subject of the show.

Former Trojans Keith Rivers, Rey Maualuga and Frostee Rucker also appeared on the show last year with the Bengals.

HBO has yet to set a date for this season's "Hard Knocks" premiere.
