We've surpassed the halfway mark of spring practices following today's work, although head coach Lane Kiffin continues to raise his expectations of the team. As the sun periodically dipped behind the partly-cloudy skies, RipsIt took in Thursday's action...
- As what appears to be the standard way to begin practice, players participated in several lengthy special teams drills to start today's session.
- There was a clear emphasis on one-on-one receiver drills, as three different groups simultaneously pitted a receiver (WR, TE and RB) against a defensive player (CB, S, and LB).
- With Will Harris and Kevin Thomas, two recent members of the Trojan secondary, looking on, the defensive backs had a solid day containing their receivers and forcing incompletions and short passes.
- For the second straight practice, the team showed its "wild" side, running a few plays out of the Wildcat formation.
Check back later for some photos and a more detailed report of today's practice.
