On a crystal clear Tuesday afternoon, the Trojans worked through their fourth practice of the spring and second in full pads. Some brief observations through the eyes of the RipsIt Blog...

- The first half of the day featured a significant dose of special teams work, with coach John Baxter running various drills with players of almost every position.

- Players then broke down by position and coaches spent more than the usual amount of time working on fundamentals with their specific squads.

- Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin ran drills with members of the secondary, while linebackers coach Joe Barry had his players execute directional drills.

- The defense stole the spotlight for the second straight practice, receiving praise from head coach Lane Kiffin and capping off the two-and-a-half hour practice with a pick-six by Shareece Wright during the full squad scrimmage.

Stay tuned for a few photos from today and a more in-depth report on some individual players.
