Fighting on: David Ausberry, Steve Blackhart, Robbie Boyer, Brice Butler, Brandon Carswell, De'Von Flournoy, Ronald Johnson, Drew Ness, Travon Patterson, Kyle Prater, Scott Stephens, Spencer Vigoren

Spring expectations for senior Ronald Johnson...
"I'm looking for him to be consistent and make plays and gain toughness. He's the old guy now, so he needs to step up and lead and be an example to his teammates."

Spring expectations for sophomore Brice Butler...
"He's going to be competing for a starting role, so I really want him to make plays and be consistent. The guys who start are the ones who are consistent. So whenever Brice gets an opportunity, I'm looking at how consistent can he be, so that we can eventually trust him to start."

Spring expectations for the corps of talented backup wideouts (De'Von Flournoy, Kyle Prater and Brandon Carswell, to name a few)...
"Prater's been out with an injury this spring, so I just want to see where he's at. I just expect him to come out and compete everyday and get better every single day. For De'Von, we want to see how far he's progressed. He hasn't played a lot of football in his life, so I'm looking to see where he's at. I'm looking to see where Brandon can make a move. It's time for him to make a move. And Travon [Patterson] has been working his butt off, he wants to play bad and he's been doing everything he needs to do. I want him to step up and contribute."

Most excited about...
"With a new staff, there are subtle changes to the offense, mostly with just verbage. I'm looking for the guys to come out every day and compete. Whenever another team comes onto the field, I want them to say, 'Dang, look at those receivers.' I want our guys to work as hard as they can work and I want them to make plays when it's time to make plays. They need to do a better job of blocking too. I really want them to get better every day and become more consistent and accountable."
