A legend stopped by Heritage Hall this morning.
Chris Claiborne, the USC middle linebacker who won the Butkus Award in 1998, popped in to the football offices to say hi to old friends and meet the new coaches this morning. Claiborne was a unanimous first-team All-American and national defensive player of the year in 1998, when he led the Trojans in tackles (120), pass deflections (16) and interceptions (6).
He had 312 total tackles in his three years as a starter at USC before going on to an eight-year NFL career.
