Believe it or not, but a 4.4 40 might actually be slow for Mays. Last March, the safety ran a blazing 4.25 during USC's offseason testing, earning him the title of fastest Trojan to play for former coach Pete Carroll. If Mays runs a sub-4.4 40, he could jump back into the top 10 overall, but he's currently expected to be drafted in the middle of the first round. Physically, Mays is a freak. He's 6-foot-3, 231 pounds, and a sub-4.4 40 could be huge in improving his stock.... Mays needs a fluid workout and a great 40 time to come closer to the perceptions scouts had of him in 2009.
