Offensive administrative assistant Dave Canales has been hired as an offensive quality control coach for the Seattle Seahawks. Canales, who previously coached at El Camino Junior College and played at Azusa Pacific, spent one season at USC, working under former quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates. He now joins eight other former Trojan staffers in Seattle:
- Pete Carroll, head coach
- Jeremy Bates, offensive coordinator
- Ken Norton, linebackers coach
- Brian Schneider, special teams coordinator
- Kris Richard, assistant defensive backs coach
- Dave Canales, offensive quality control coach
- Chris Carlisle, head strength and conditioning coach
- Jamie Yanchar, assistant strength and conditioning coach
- Matt Capurro, director of football operations
