Yanchar, who had worked at USC since 1990, was the interim head strength coach in the wake of Chris Carlisle's departure for the Seahawks. Assistant strength and conditioning coach Bryan Bailey, a seven-year veteran of the program, will now take up the lead duties in the interim while Coach Lane Kiffin conducts the search for the new head strength and conditioning coach.
The Trojans are less than a week into their eight-week winter strength and conditioning offseason program.

With such a transition in the strength and condition part of the football program, I wonder how this will impact spring ball: injuries during spring practices and the explosiveness of the players (or lack thereof).
These guys put on the most outstanding speed and football camps for high school kids you could ever dream of, from Coach Carroll on down his staff, for the last 5 years. My son learned more from these camps then from his entire 4 years of High School coaching. Good luck to all and thanks for all the hard work. Seeing these guys go reminds me of the old saying "If it doesn't kill us it will make us all stronger".
