The NFL playoffs are loaded with Trojans this January, as 17 USC alumni are playing in the postseason and 10 of the 12 playoff teams feature at least one former Trojan. Take a look at the USC alums competing for the Super Bowl crown this winter:
- Nine USC alumni are playing this weekend in the Divisional round of the playoffs:
- Tailback Reggie Bush and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (New Orleans Saints)
- Quarterback Matt Leinart, tight end Dominique Byrd and offensive guard Deuce Lutui (Arizona Cardinals)
- Kicker David Buehler (Dallas Cowboys)
- Defensive tackle Fili Moala (Indianapolis Colts)
- Quarterback Mark Sanchez (New York Jets)
- Safety Kevin Ellison (San Diego Chargers)
- Eight Trojans played in the Wild Card round last weekend but are now out of the playoffs:
- Linebacker Junior Seau (New England Patriots)
- Quarterback Carson Palmer, defensive lineman Frostee Rucker, linebacker Keith Rivers and linebacker Rey Maualuga (Cincinnati Bengals)
- Linebacker Clay Matthews (Green Bay Packers)
- Offensive lineman Winston Justice and defensive lineman Mike Patterson (Philadelphia Eagles)
- Only Minnesota and Baltimore do not have a Trojan on their rosters.

Clay was a BEAST against the Cards. He turned that game around with his fumble recovery. I am pleased he made the Pro Bowl as he deserved it. Two Pro Bowlers from last year's LB corp. And people wonder why we fell off defensively this year. Congrats to Cush and Clay. Fight on!
