New head coach Lane Kiffin is expected to touch down in L.A. early this afternoon and be on campus around 3 p.m. His first official order of business as the head man of the Trojan football program will be a 4 p.m. introductory press conference, which you can watch live for free here.

Looks like intro presser is pushed back to 5pm PST per USCTrojans.com
Saw a paper today that is being passed around the University of Tennessee demanding for a investigation of Lane Kiffen, Monte Kiffen and Ed Orgeron by the NCAA.
So far there is over 8000 signatures listed and the number is growing fast.
Reason being is that Kiffen lied to not only the University staff and Alumni but to the other coaches, players, students and volunteer fans.
The paper is asking for a 5 year suspension from coaching, recruiting or anything that has to do with college football. He want even be able to arm chair coach a team from his living room.
The paper also states that Kiffen's main objective was to better himself by using the University of Tennessee as a stepping stone and by lying to those mentioned.
It states that he is immoral and that he nor Ed Orgeron live up to the standards of honesty that is required as a college head coach.
Kind of like a military recruiter. If a military recruiter lies then he is fired from that job if proven.
There is no doubt that Kiffen has betrayed the trust not only in Oakland California but in the State of Tennessee.
Good luck to Mr. Kiffen and Ed Orgeron. They will both need it in the months to come.
This is in response to donnie's post. I don't claim to be a football expert or anything, but how has Lane Kiffen betrayed the trust of people in Oakland?! He was fired by Al Davis after only a year...that's not Coach Kiffen's fault that he was fired. Coaches come and go...that's business, and I don't see why the NCAA always has to go poking its nose around.
The Oakland Raiders are the most horribly run organization...Al Davis is terrible! "The Oakland Raiders, where football dreams go to die."
If "lying" (in the context you're referring to) is a means for investigation, then Brian Kelly "lying" to Cincinnati fans/alum should have warranted an investigation as well.
You always want to better yourself in every job you take. If the opportunity arises to do so then usually one goes for it. It's no different in this situation. We would not be in this situation if Pete Carroll didn't feel his move wouldn't better himself. Who takes a job and says oh by the way if something better comes up I will bail on you? Come on be realistic.
Donnie,
it's apparent that you as well as the 8,000 fan's who signed the alleged complaint feel betrayed.
Lane signed a contract with UT, all fine and good, however; his contract like all the rest have a stipulated buy out for each successive year, now with that in mind, does it not appear that your administration at least understands the metrics and probabilities of a business deal. That someone may come along and offer your coach a better deal, bigger school, more money etc. At the time Lane signed he no doubt was telling the truth about wanting to be at UT, but Donnie, like everything in life, the dynamics change DAILY!
Lane left UT, he will pay the buy out amount, next case! let's move on.
Its becoming clear to me that UT fans/alum/players think coaches should only leave them if they get fired. To suggest that a coach cannot or should not leave if an opportunity arises that they chose to take is ridiculous. The UT folks are acting like a bunch of spoiled babies. I suppose SC should have crossed our arms and stomped our feet because Pete still had time on his contract.
What did he lie about? That he signed a contract saying he'd be there for four years? Both sides change their minds all the time, and there's a price tag associated with it. Geez....get over it already!
BTW - I would find it a compliment if Al Davis didn't like me. In my opinion, he should be the last one to cast stones!
