Brian Cushing won the NFL's defensive rookie of the year award last week, and he's following it up with something very rewarding this week.
A trip to Disneyworld?
Not quite.
Cushing has re-enrolled at USC for the spring semester, taking two sociology classes so he can graduate with his bachelor's degree this May. So if you see a Mohawk'd NFL Pro Bowler walking around campus this spring, you'll now know who it is.

Atta boy Cush, get that degree!! FIGHT ON!!
That is AWESOME!! It's great for him, and it's great for the young kids aspiring to be like him.
Ben,
is there any NCAA restrictions on Cush attending and watching the spring practices?
Thanks
Ben, trust me ESPN will be right there watching. But great news for Cush. It's good for other players to see what hard work looks like.
Good for him.
Is the now-millionaire Cushing still on scholarship or does he have to pay for his classes?
Fight ON Cush!!!! :)
What an inspiration to all the players! Good for Cush!
The NFLPA is more than likely reimbursing him his tuition costs.
Ed Orgeron, could your recruit more of these players? Wonder who recruited Cushing from New Jersey....
Big Cush! Finish! You make the Trojan family proud! FIGHT ON!
