Tight end Anthony McCoy, offensive tackle Tyron Smith and defensive lineman Averell Spicer have been ruled academically ineligible for the Emerald Bowl on Saturday, Coach Pete Carroll announced this morning.

"We're really disappointed these guys didn't come through," Carroll said. "They had all the help in the world to get it done and they didn't do it."

Since they didn't come through, I hope they are being left behind in Los Angeles and not getting a trip to San Francisco.

Okay, now I'm angry. The university offers everthing that student-athletes need in order to perform with their teammates. It is selfishness like this, in which the student-athlete thinks more highly of themselves than the team, that prohibit the team from reaching its full potential.

Yeah, I'm with PDQ and hope that these players stay home. One can only imagine "what if's".

Well, ed, be angry all you want. Big waste of your time. Out of 106 athletes, only three are ineligible. No one is hurting more then they are. And they don't travel. get over it.
