In response to the L.A. Times article published Friday afternoon about tailback Joe McKnight's driving arrangements, Coach Pete Carroll made a short statement following today's practice.
"I haven't seen the story yet but our compliance staff has and they have this matter under full review," he said shortly after practice this afternoon. "We'll wait and see what happens. I can't comment beyond that."

Very disappointing to read this. Fans and others alike should wait for more info to make conclusions, but the powers-that-be know how much we're under a microscope, and so do the players. Everyone associated with the program needs to err on the side of caution if something smells or looks remotely untoward. Perception matters.
Shoddy reporting by the LAT it appears. But, USC is under the microscope in LA-la-land more than any other program in the country. We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard, fair or not. Do we have a f/t compliance person on the football staff and/or f/t security personnel? To combat the scumbags in LA, we almost have to operate like a pro team from an administrative standpoint.
