During this afternoon's team meeting, Coach Carroll had several questions for his players that all led to the same conclusion: "It doesn't matter what the weather is."
With rainy weather in L.A. today and chilly temperatures expected for Saturday in South Bend, the Trojans are facing a myriad of challenges from the elements this week. But, as Carroll repeatedly says, it won't be a problem -- unless you let it be.
"Does it rain on both sides of the field? Is it 45 degrees on both sides of the field? Does it snow on both sides of the field?" Carroll rhetorically asked his players, employing one of his favorite adages. "Let's make this a strength for us."
Carroll did admit that players will have to adjust things when it comes to their footing, especially when the field is muddy.
"You need to be conscious of what you can and can't do with your footing," Carroll said.

We should kick their ass regardless of the weather or the playing conditions. We are that much better than them. Giving Coach Carroll two weeks to prepare is always bad news for the other team which this week just happens to be the hated ones in South Bend.
Fight on.
