MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The people have spoken.

More than 2,700 votes were cast to determine whether Kenny Morris, the iconic USC drum major known as Tommy Trojan, should keep his goatee or shave it. Fifty-six percent of the people said he should go with the clean-shaven look, and Morris has done the deed.

Only one problem -- it's awfully chilly in the Midwest right now, and the fresh shave isn't too conducive for staying warm.

"My face is so cold," Morris joked.

You'll see the new look all over national TV on Saturday whenever the NBC cameras turn to the Trojan Marching Band and its symbolic leader (and see the before and after photos to the right).
