Eight days after his major throat injury and surgery, Stafon Johnson continues to take positive steps forward in his recovery from the scary accident and emergency operation.

Since the weekend, Johnson has been receiving "a steady stream of visitors" to his hospital room, Coach Carroll said, a very promising sign for the senior tailback.

"He's doing really well," Carroll said. "Everything seems to be progressing as well as or better than expected."
