We received several comments and e-mails about the reference to tailback Curtis McNeal as "Moody" in Tuesday's practice report.
There's a reason for the moniker -- "Moody" is McNeal's long-time nickname, which was given to him when he was 6 or 7 years old and playing Pop Warner football. McNeal said his coach noticed that "some days I wanted to practice and some days I didn't and some days I wanted to do things and some days I didn't.
"I guess he thought I was moody or something."
So the "Moody" nickname was born -- and has stuck ever since, much to McNeal's liking.
"I prefer that name over Curtis," McNeal said.
