Part dance party, part Native American rain dance and part mosh pit, the Trojans' recently concluded special teams meeting showed one thing's for sure.
The players are jacked up and ready to go.
But following the festive pump-up session that rattled Heritage Auditorium, it was time for the Trojans to shift into their more serious mode of final game preparation. Meetings this afternoon and the 4:15 p.m. practice are the first steps in that more solemn phase, a vital part of Coach Carroll's carefully engineered plan for game week.
"Now it's time to focus," running backs coach Todd McNair said as the team transitioned from wild excitement to intense preparation.
Said Carroll: "Make it a great finish day for us so we can be perfect and exactly right for tomorrow."
