On his way back from Monday Morning Quarterback at the Galen Center just now, Coach Carroll spotted defensive ends Nick Perry and Everson Griffen walking between classes.

"That's 14 sacks right there!" Carroll spontaneously yelled out to Perry and Griffen, referring to the two players' combined sack total.

Griffen and Perry have seven sacks apiece, both tied for fourth in the nation, to lead a Trojan defense that has the country's best sack average of 4.33 per game.
