While the fans and media have already turned their attention to next week's USC-Ohio State game in Columbus, the Trojans have not.
Far from it, actually.
During meetings and on the practice field all week, coaches haven't mentioned the Buckeyes once, placing 100 percent of the emphasis on San Jose State and the season opener on Saturday.
So any chance of seeing a trap game or catching the Trojans looking ahead this weekend?
Not gonna happen.
"We take this one step at a time on purpose," Coach Carroll said. "It doesn't serve us well at all to look past the next game we have, because that's the only one we got right now."
