Defensive back Rob Erickson and kicker Jordan Congdon have been awarded scholarships, Coach Carroll announced during this afternoon's team meeting. The upperclassmen are now a part of the 85-man scholarship roster for the Trojans, an immense honor for the two long-time walk-ons.

"We've always tried to help our guys who have been really hard working, performed in the classroom and done everything well," Carroll said. "We love to do this when we can. We're thrilled for them and their families."

Congdon, a senior, was named the starting field goal kicker today, while Erickson, a redshirt junior, is expected to contribute on special teams this fall.
