A great night at Dodger Stadium

It was a night at the ballpark for Coach Carroll on Tuesday night.



At Dodger Stadium to take part in a pre-game ceremony for A Better LA's Summer Night Lights program alongside Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, Carroll enjoy an evening chock full of activity. He chatted with Dodgers manager Joe Torre, caught up with ESPN college football announcer Kirk Herbstreit and saw the Dodgers tear up the Cincinnati Reds, winning 12-3 on a perfect night for baseball.

But most importantly, Carroll and his foundation received a $25,000 donation from the Dodgers Dream Foundation, the first step in a generous philanthropic relationship that is expected to stretch far into the future. The Summer Night Lights program is an anti-gang initiative that keeps the lights on at city parks to give children a safe and fun place to hang out after dark.
