The weekend wasn't very kind to Trojan athletics.
Both the men's volleyball team and women's water polo team lost in their respective NCAA championship matches in heart-breaking fashion, the men falling in the fifth and final set to UC Irvine on Saturday and the women dropping a 5-4 decision to UCLA on Sunday.
Then, the No. 7-seeded Women of Troy tennis team saw its 13-match win streak come to an end in the second round of the NCAA tournament, getting upset 4-3 by Washington at Marks Tennis Stadium on Sunday.
It wasn't all bad news for USC sports this weekend, though. The No. 8 men's tennis team swept Minnesota at home on Saturday to advance to the Round of 16 on Friday in College Station, Texas.
