Senior associate athletic director for football Mark Jackson ran the L.A. Marathon on Monday, completing the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 42 minutes.
"I'm glad I did it," said Jackson, who's slightly hobbling around the office today. "I'm glad it's over, too."
It was the second marathon for the 36-year-old Jackson, who trained for three months for Monday's race. He said he hopes to run more of them in the future, but asked if he likes the grueling distance, Jackson didn't hesitate.
"I like the first 18 miles," he said with a smile. "The last eight are a little tough though."
