The No. 4-ranked USC men's volleyball team upset No. 1 UC Irvine in a 3-0 sweep in the semifinals of the conference tournament on Thursday, pushing the Trojans into the finals against No. 2 Pepperdine on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Irvine.
The winner of the title match will earn an automatic bid into the four-team NCAA tournament May 7 and 9 at BYU. A four-time NCAA champion, USC last appeared in the Final Four in 1991.
