Winning forever

It took a YouTube video and a relentless campaign via radio, TV and the internet, but Coach Carroll is finally victorious.

Will Ferrell is now on Twitter.

Carroll's month-long pursuit to get the comedian, a longtime buddy and USC alum, on the trendy micro-blogging site has ended in a big-time recruiting triumph, as Ferrell made an account and began "tweeting" on Thursday. Needless to say, Carroll is as giddy as ever this morning as he soaks in the news.

The response from the Twitter nation has been overwhelming -- and funny. One tweeter wrote, "I guess that goes to show Pete Carroll can recruit ANYONE he wants," another typed, "Pete Carroll apparently NEVER loses" and another said, "That's what I call a lesson in perseverance."
