While the Trojan offense isn't undergoing any drastic changes this offseason, it does feature one noticeable alteration.

The script -- or first set of plays that will be called during a game, but not necessarily in strict order -- is now 18 plays long instead of just 15, like it has been for the last several years.

And what's the purpose of the increase?

"What happens when you're 18?" quarterbacks coach/assistant head coach for the offense Jeremy Bates asked his players while presenting the script during Sunday's meeting prior to the scrimmage. "When you're 18, you sign up for war. And when we take the field, we're declaring war.
