Today is Competition Tuesday at USC, and the coaches are already getting in the mood.
During the recently completed staff meeting, Coach Carroll and linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr. tangled in a funny and playfully heated verbal exchange.
"It's Competition Tuesday!" Carroll exclaimed. "Time to battle!"
"Coach, the linebackers always battle, we don't need Tuesday," Norton shot back with a competitive glare directed at the offensive coaches.
The coaches burst out in laughter, but the tone has been set for this afternoon's competition-themed practice.
