Coach Carroll just finished watching film from today's scrimmage, and he's glowing about several facets of the team.

"The defense is really hawking the football," he said. "It might be better than we've seen in a long time -- they legitimately forced two fumbles today.

"And it was a great crowd and great energy out there for the scrimmage."

Only 10 workouts remain in Spring Practice 2009. Check out the schedule and plan on coming out to one of the practices.

I liked the way Malcolm Jones plays. He has the speed of a safety playing LB. He makes plays when it counts most, "the moment of truth." Jordan Campbell is in the same arena. He does a great job reading the linemen off the line and fills in nicely. I was also excited about Curtis McNeal. He made some key plays and he is fearless. He runs well behind the line and he is difficult to tackle. He reminds me of that Jaquiz Rodgers. Thank you coaching staff for the high energy practice. Loved it.
